[Video] Inspiring! Restaurant in Montreal offers free meals to those who can’t pay because “Everyone deserves to eat”

After noticing some homeless people asking for some spare change and looking like they’re in need of a warm meal, a restaurant in Montreal decided to offer free meals to those who simply have no cash to pay up. The Marché Restaurant Ferdous, whose motto is “Everyone deserves to eat, no questions asked”, feeds everybody — even those who can’t pay.

One of the owners, Yahya Hashemi, said in a Sunny Skyz story, sometimes people come into their restaurant and they have no idea by their look if they need food and they’re shy or they don’t believe about their offer. That is why they instructed their cook not to judge them or ask questions but to just give them food if they ask for it. Sean Jalbert, one of the customers, said it’s just a sandwich and is not much important to most people but for some it means they won’t sleep hungry, and that speaks volumes.Ala Amiry, one of the co-owners, said: “It’s part of religion, this kind of tradition. You have to give to the people if you want the blessing from God.” Marché Restaurant Ferdous hopes other restaurants would do the same as their good deeds.
