5 Seconds Of Summer One Direction Fans Made #iFakeAwards Trending; iHeart Radio Accused Justin Bieber Win Rigged

5  Seconds of Summer and One Direction fans rallied against iHeartRadio for allegedly rigging the awards in favor of Justin Bieber. Some of the performers’ fans like Lovatics (Demi Lovato) and Harmonizers (Fifth Harmony) also joined the 1D and 5SOS fans in proclaiming that the awards were faked.

The fans flooded social media with #iFakeAwards taglines airing their discontent of the awarding results.

After the Best Fan Army award was announced, the fans cried out that the Beliebers were at the bottom of the list. The award was through public voting.

The social media outburst became trending. With all the fans combining forces, it is not impossible that #iFakeAwards is the most used hashtag in social media history.

Justin Bieber won the Dance Song of the Year and the Best Cover Song with Selena Gomez. The Beliebers won the Best Fan Army.

Perez Hilton reported that different fan groups united themselves to protest the awards’ results, claiming that there was a conspiracy in the selection of winners. This controversy saw fans of different artists being unanimous in their opinions.

One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer band members did not issue any statement or reaction about the awards’ results.

Despite the protests, the iHeartRadio event was a success. Taylor Swift who won the Female Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Most Meme-able Moment and Best Tour was not impressed with Bieber’s performance.

Her boyfriend Calvin Harris won the Dance Artist of the Year. The Best Tour winner thanked him in her acceptance speech.

Boy band One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer were both ignored in the best fan category. Their fans showed unending support by fighting for them even through social media. Did the two boy bands’ fans deserve to win?
