HTC One X9 Rumors, Price, Specs, Release Date: Leaked Photos Reveal Black And Silver Variants

The unannounced HTC One X9 has surfaced in a new image, revealing that the mid-range handset will be available in black and silver variants. News of the HTC One X9 first surfaced after the handset's leaked promo image was spotted on popular Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo, revealing its external design and pricing details, as reported on Design & Trend.

The leaked promo image showed a white variant of the HTC One X9, which appeared to be a high-end smartphone, accompanied by the captions "pursuit of brilliance" and "packed with city smarts." However, well-known tipster @LlabTooFeR recently confirmed on Twitter that the HTC One X9 is not a high-end device and would feature lower-quality specs than the recently launched One A9, as reported by Design & Trend. According to @evleaks, the HTC One X9 features a 5.5-inch touchscreen display with full HD (1080p) resolution and will be powered by an unknown MediaTek chip model, paired with 2GB of RAM. The handset will offer 16GB of storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB via a micro SD card, and will draw juice from a 3,000 mAh battery, according to Phone Arena. The HTC One X9 will also sport a 13-megapixel main camera with autofocus, LED flash, optical image stabilization and video recording, along with a 4-Ultra-Pixel front camera. A leaked image of the HTC One X9 has once again surfaced online, and it appears similar to the device in the previous teaser but shows the handset in black and silver variants. The front of the handset resembles HTC's previous Butterfly S smartphone, while the back houses a rear camera and a dual LED flash — similar to the camera setup found in the Huawei Nexus 6P. HTC plans to unveil the One X9 in Feb. 2016 followed by the launch of the One M10 flagship smartphone two to three months later, according to Android Pit. Given its comparatively lower specs, the HTC One X9 is expected to be priced lower than One A9 which was recently launched at a retail price of $499.99 in the U.S.
