Watch the new - Walking Dead' Season 6 trailer

The Newest Walking Dead's Season 6 trailer has arrived and it's awesome. Rick and Morgan are seemingly at odds. The Alexandria gang is dropping like flies. Someone has a gun to Daryl's head... and we're not okay with it. And that's not the only news coming out of The Walking Dead's visit to Comic-Con.

The new season officially has a premiere date: Oct. 11. As usual, the season will air in two parts, with the first 8 episodes coming this fall and the second half airing in February 2016. The season's 90-minute premiere will debut at 9 p.m. ET on AMC. Those in New York should be happy to learn that executive producer Scott Gimple announced that the premiere will also screen in Madison Square Garden. Cast and producers will be on hand as well.

Teasing the new season at Comic-Con Friday, Gimple said viewers can expect a reappearance from the Wolves "in a way fans won't expect" and, as teased in the trailer, Rick being challenged because of his leadership approach. Gimple also warned that the trailer might be misleading in some ways, admitting the show "sometimes plays with the truth in trailers." Producers also announced Nurse Jackie alum Merritt Wever will play a character from the comic, but declined to say who. Executive producer Robert Kirkman, who earlier this week announced he would be missing the event because of a health issue, and Lauren Cohan were the only major absences from the panel. Though, some cast members wore shirts with Kirkman's face on them as an ode to their leader. Cohan, meanwhile, sent a message for Comic-Con via text to executive producer Greg Nicotero, who passed his phone to cast member Steven Yeun for reading aloud. "I miss not being there with you all. I'm with my family, but my other family is at this table and in this room," he read, as the crowd aww'd. "We thank you and love you so much. I hope you all a freaking incredible weekend.
