Heidi Klum and Neil Patrick harris, ‘America’s Got Talent,’ Begins Season 10

Heidi Klum is beginning her 10th season as judge on the hit television series America’s Got Talent. And Klum’s got some advice for future contestants. When asked what kind of acts Klum looks forward to judging, Klum said, “I love being surprised! Anyone who comes on stage and can really shock me with a new and interesting talent that I’ve never seen before always gets my vote. I do also love the kids that come on our stage. They put their little hearts and souls into their performance and I’m always wowed by what they are capable of.” Klum also suggests to possible future acts that “Always be true to yourself. Do what makes you happy. Don’t come audition with some talent that you think will get the most laughs or claps. Do what you love and stick to it. Master that. The audience loves to see people who love what they’re doing. Maybe also ask a really honest, close friend for feedback before you come on,” Klum said. Klum also said the biggest error contestants make is forgetting the audience and home voters.

“A lot of people come on stage and forget to connect with the audience. Performing is all about forming that connection. The viewers at home are voting. You want to show them your special sauce,” Klum said. Tony and Emmy winner Neil Patrick Harris, Grammy Award winner Michael Bublé, former “America’s Got Talent” star Piers Morgan and actor, comedian and producer Marlon Wayans will serve as guest judges on NBC’s "America’s Got Talent." These four will join judges Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel to determine which of 36 acts will move on to the live performance shows at Radio City Music Hall. The four-week-long "Judge Cuts" will premiere July 14 (8-10 PM) and will lead into the live performance shows beginning Aug. 11 (8-10 PM). The 10th anniversary season of “America’s Got Talent” airs Tuesdays at 8 PM. Each week beginning July 14, a guest judge will join the regular panel to help decide which acts have what it takes to perform live for America’s vote. Howard Stern will invite Neil Patrick Harris, Heidi Klum will bring Michael Bublé, Mel B will work with Piers Morgan, and Howie Mandel will call on Marlon Wayans to serve as the fifth judge on the panel. The guest judges will also have an additional advantage: They can use the Golden Buzzer for their favorite act, sending them to Radio City Music Hall without any consultation from the “AGT” judges.
